Government defers new IERS policy

The NSW state government has further deferred and staggered implementation of its proposed Inclusive, Engaging and Respectful Schools (IERS) policy which had significant changes to behaviour policy and rules and processes around behaviour management in schools, including suspensions.

Schools have been advised to continue to implement the previous suspension policy and procedures until at last later in Term 3.
