The 2016 NSWSDPA Annual Conference will be held from the 31st August to 2nd September 2016 at the Hunter Valley Crown Plaza nestled amongst the Semillon vineyards and majestic Brokenback ranges. Offering distance without being remote, Hunter Association believes the conference will be a memorable delegate experience bringing guests together to reconnect, create memories and inspire ideas.
The conference theme “We’re All in This Together” draws on supporting delegates in building communities and delivering outstanding educational leadership. The conference will showcase samples of exceptional practice and reinforce essential components of leading and managing schools in the current educational landscape. Our keynote speakers will focus on our role in leading communities and leading learning. They include Jihad Dib MP (Ex-Principal Punchbowl Boys), Wayne Pearce OAM (Leadership and Team Performance), Manoj Chandra Handa (Divergent Thinking/Gifted Education) and John Fischetti (Teaching and Learning for the Innovation Age).
At the conclusion of Professional Learning on day one, a variety of wellbeing activities will be available for delegates including options of cultural, tourist and sporting activities (at delegate cost) highlighting the picturesque Hunter Valley.
Conference registrations will open term 2 for all NSW Secondary Deputy Principals. Numbers are limited. Registrations will close on Friday 24th June, 2016 unless full capacity is reached prior to the date.
